In March 1999 the awesome Callaway C12 Roadster made its debut at the New York Auto Show. Designed by Paul Deutschman in conjunction with IVM Engineering, this incredible car was designed specifically to achieve stability at speeds above 200 mph. The body of the C12 maintained little commonality with the C5 Corvette. The hood, fenders and door panels, B-pillar panels, and door-sill plates, were made of a carbon-Kevlar matrix to achieve high strength and light weight. According to Callaway the C12 was built "to a standard rather than a cost". Assembled by hand in Callaway's <>Leingarten, Germany facility, each C12 took 12 weeks to build. According to the factory documents in Germany only 27 C12s were ever built.<>

This 1/24 scale "Signature Edition" from Franklin Mint is a limited edition of 3,500. In addition to the car and Certificate of Authenticity, both hand signed by Reeves Callaway, the "kit" includes a unique display case with custom C12 graphics and drawer, Commemorative Callaway key fob and key, Callaway dashboard plaque, and C12 literature & schematics.
